Ingredients needed:- 4 L whole milk- 1 cup of plain yogurt
Directions:
Fill a 4 L pail or jug with whole milk from a vending machine near you!
Pour the whole milk into a large pot.
Put the pot on the stove and turn on the burner to boil. Stand close by and keep slowly stirring.
Fill the kitchen sink with 3-4 inches of ice cold water.
When the milk begins to foam and rise, immediately take the pot off the burner.
Set the pot in the kitchen sink in the water bath, in order to cool the milk. Keep stirring.
When the milk is cooled to just warmer than body temperature, mix in the 1 cup of yogurt using a whisk.
Pour the warm liquid into clean mason jars, yogurt containers, or back into your clean pail.
Wrap the container(s) in towels and set them inside a warmed oven or in a warm, draft-free area.
Leave the yogurt to set for 6-8 hours or overnight.
After sitting, mix the yogurt or beat it with a hand mixer.
Enjoy with Canadian Maple Syrup or Fresh Strawberries!
